NOTEWORTHY

The 'Canes are coming off their worst loss since moving to North Carolina from Hartford, 9-0 Saturday night to the Atlanta Thrashers ... "Nothing," Carolina captain Rod Brind'Amour said, when asked what the team can learn from the humiliation. "You just leave it here and move on. Whether you lose 1-0 or 9-0 you still lost. It was a horrible game and we have to let it go." ... There were 650 tickets left for tonight's game as of yesterday. It's the final Welcome Back Fans game, with every ticket at 50% off. There are 1,750 left for Thursday night's visit by Jacques Martin and the Florida Panthers ... The Hurricanes are 5-2-1 on the road so far this season ... Senators coach Bryan Murray liked the look of Dominik Hasek in practice yesterday. "He'll play (tonight). We'll see if he can upset Carolina or not," said Murray.
