MONTREAL -- Senators D Wade Redden was back in the lineup last night against the Canadiens after being out of action for the last 10 days to be with his ill mother, Pat. His return meant D Christoph Schubert was a scratch as the club decided to get one more look at D Andrej Meszaros before making a decision on his status today. The Senators also scratched W Brian McGrattan, who had a sore hand as a result of vicious fight with Montreal RW Raitis Ivanans during Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Habs at the Corel Centre. "His right hand is a little swollen, so we had to make some changes," said coach Bryan Murray.

SENS GOING TO SCHOOL

The Senators will have a busy day today as they prepare for the start of the regular season on Wednesday. The club will hold a one-hour media training session following practice at the Corel Centre. "They have to learn how to talk to you guys," coach Bryan Murray cracked to reporters yesterday.
