The Dominator is back in Binghamton, but don't expect to see him play for the Baby Sens.

While goalie Dominik Hasek will complete his two-week conditioning stint with the Senators' AHL affiliate tomorrow, it's doubtful he'll play in an exhibition game vs. the Syracuse Crunch.

Senators GM John Muckler, who returned to Binghamton yesterday after spending a couple of days in Ottawa, told reporters he plans to meet with Hasek today. They will decide what's next in Hasek's recovery from groin surgery in April.

'NO DECISION'

"No decision has been made," said Muckler when asked if Hasek would be between the pipes tomorrow at the Broome County Arena in Binghamton.

Hasek didn't accompany the Baby Sens to their 5-3 victory over the Crunch in Syracuse. The game started at 11 a.m. as part of a school promotion for the Crunch.

There is talk that Hasek is getting some heat from the NHL Players' Association not to suit up for the Baby Sens. "I would say the union might have a tough time with him playing for their AHL affiliate," said a league source. "The players are locked out and the Senators are one of the 30 teams locking out players. Hasek playing in Binghamton is probably just a little too close to home."
