The dismantling of the NHL season officially started at the Corel Centre yesterday. Senators president/CEO Roy Mlakar confirmed the club has cancelled its exhibition games and its first two regular-season games -- including the Oct. 13 home-opener against Montreal.

Mlakar said season-ticket holders have the option of getting money back immediately or they can receive interest until a decision is made.

"If people want to stick with us and see what happens, then we're going to offer them a full refund with interest," said Mlakar. "Right now, we're just going to be watching the calendar and cancelling games as we've been instructed by the league every 30 days in advance."
