No, the Senators weren't locked out of the Roger's House golf tournament yesterday. While $50,000 was raised for the home being built to support the families of ill children at CHEO and honour the memory of late assistant coach Roger Neilson, there was controversy last night after broadcast reports indicated there were no Senators at the first tournament.

But spokesman Phil Legault explained the tournament was not a Senators event and the fact the players weren't there had nothing to do with the lockout.

The tournament, sponsored by Great West Life in conjunction with the Senators Foundation, had no celebrity foursomes.

Winger Mike Fisher, the honorary chairperson of Rogers House, said last night he was invited but has committed to play in the Original Stars Hockey League and couldn't be on hand.
