Toronto - New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur exited Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs after the second period with an undisclosed injury.

Brodeur stopped 18 of the 20 shots he faced and left with New Jersey trailing, 2-1.

He had missed two games earlier this month with an injured right elbow, though there was no official word as to whether or not he had aggravated it.

The 38-year-old Brodeur had struggled to a 4-9-1 record with a 2.73 goals against average entering Thursday's contest.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
