Through 17 games, the Senators are averaging a league-leading 4.71 goals per game. The club has scored four or more goals in 13 of those games. The Senators' record for most goals in a single season is 274 in 2000-01 campaign. Ottawa already has 80 this season, putting it on pace to score 386 ...Devils coach Larry Robinson was looking for consistency as his team prepared to face the Canadiens at home last night, then the Senators tonight. "Look at our record (8-8-2)," he said. "We're comparable to five or six other teams. So if we're frustrated, they must be." ...
