NASHVILLE - The headline on Page 5 of the sports section in The Tennessean Thursday morning focused on one of the most popular players in Senators history.

"Preds hope Fisher remains hot" it blared, to which many females in Canada's capital would respond by asking 'um, when did he stop being hot?'

The story goes on to say that, with 10 points in his last six games, Nashville centre Mike Fisher is enjoying his most productive stretch since 2008, when he had seven in three for the Senators.

But that's history. What visiting reporters from Ottawa uncovered Thursday morning is that the dashing 33-year old husband of country singing superstar Carrie Underwood has contemplated retirement.

Fisher admitted to that when asked if he has given any thought to his future.
