Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne has grown weary of his team's offensive struggles to start the season.

With back-to-back games over the weekend, Rinne was rested on Saturday so he would be fresh facing the hot Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.

One problem with that plan: the Preds didn't have an answer for 'Hawks goaltender Corey Crawford, who only needed to make 17 saves for the shutout.

"This is the third time in 11 games now that we got shut out," Rinne told The Tennessean. "I mean, it's tough to win when you don't score goals."

It was the third time the Preds drew a blank. The team is averaging just two goals through 12 games.

"Obviously, my job is to keep the pucks out of our end and our net," Rinne said. "It was just one of those nights. They created some momentum in the second period. They got the first goal and right after that got the second one, and that was pretty much the game right there."
