Suter, Preds to talk about future

The agent for soon-to-be free agent defenceman Ryan Suter will talk to the Nashville Predators later this week.

Neil Sheehy told The Tennessean that he plans to chat with Preds general manager David Poile to discuss Suter's future in Nashville. Suter, one of the most coveted players on the market this summer, will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Suter, who had seven goals and a career-high 39 assists in 2011-12, could get upwards of $7 million a season on the open market. That figure could be too rich for the Predators, who have 15 impending free agents on the roster.
