Nashville- Nashville Predators defenseman Ryan Suter left Tuesday's game against the Calgary Flames with a lower body injury.

The 25-year-old Suter appeared to suffer the injury in the early stages of the contest when he was tangled up with Calgary's Cory Sarich along the boards.

Suter, who was the seventh overall draft pick of Nashville in 2003, will not return to this game. The durable Suter, who is the son of 1980 U.S. Olympic gold medal winner Bob Suter and the nephew of longtime Flames defenseman Gary Suter, has played in all 82 regular-season games in three of the past four seasons.
