Lombardi off the market

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators have signed forward Matthew Lombardi to a three-year deal worth $10.5 million.

One of the top forwards remaining in the free agent market, the 28-year-old tallied 19 goals and a career-high 34 assists for a career-high in points over 78 games with Phoenix last season.

A six-year NHL veteran, Lombardi spent his first four-plus seasons in Calgary before being traded to Phoenix during the 2008-09 season.

Over 444 career games, the Quebec native has scored 89 goals and tallied 147 assists with a plus-28 rating and 275 penalty minutes.
