Rangers sign Halpern By SPORTS NETWORK

NEW YORK - The New York Rangers have agreed to terms with free agent center Jeff Halpern.

Halpern had four goals and 12 assists in 69 games for Washington last season.

The 36-year-old Halpern has 146 goals and 212 assists in 861 career NHL games with the Capitals, Stars, Lightning, Kings and Canadiens. He also has seven goals and six assists in 36 playoff games.
