Sean Avery reportedly is in the clear after he was arrested earlier this month over allegations he attacked a police officer.

The New York Rangers forward was involved in a dispute with police on Aug. 5, after officers were called to his home in the Hollywood Hills on a noise complaint.

Avery was booked for battery of an officer and released on $20,000 bail.

It was alleged Avery pushed one of the officers during a confrontation, but according to TMZ.com it has now been decided he will not face any charges.

"No criminal charges of any kind will be filed against Sean Avery stemming from his Aug. 5 arrest for battery on a police officer," a source told the website.
