New York Rangers' Sean Avery is reportedly in the clear after he was arrested over allegations he attacked a cop.
Avery was held by police earlier in August after a dispute with officials who arrived at his home in the Hollywood Hills after a neighbour complained about noise.
It was alleged the Rangers' forward pushed one of the officers during a confrontation, but according to TMZ.com it has now been decided he will not face any charges.
A source tells the website, "No criminal charges of any kind will be filed against Sean Avery stemming from his August 5 arrest for battery on a police officer."
