Rangers, Coyotes in minor swap
By Sports Network

NEW YORK -- The New York Rangers and Phoenix Coyotes traded players they each selected in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The Rangers acquired forward Oscar Lindberg from the Coyotes in exchange for forward Ethan Werek. Lindberg was chosen by Phoenix with the 52nd overall pick of the 2009 draft, while the Rangers had selected Werek just five picks earlier. Both players are just 19 years old.

Lindberg appeared in 41 games for Skelleftea of the Swedish Elite League this season, posting five goals and nine assists for 14 points. Werek compiled 24 goals and 28 assists for 52 points in 47 games for Kingston of the Ontario Hockey League this season.
