NEW YORK - New York Rangers captain Chris Drury returned to the lineup for Saturday's game against the New Jersey Devils after being sidelined since early February with a knee injury.
Drury underwent arthroscopic surgery on February 11 and had recently been practicing with the team.
On his first shift Saturday, the 12-year veteran scored his first goal of the season. It came just over a minute after the Devils had scored the game's first goal and helped the Rangers toward a 5-2 win.
Drury had played in just 23 games this season and had only four assists entering the regular-season finale, largely the result of a finger that he broke twice in different spots.
