New York - New York Rangers forward Ruslan Fedotenko is expected to miss three weeks following an appendectomy.
The club made the announcement on Wednesday that the veteran forward, who has missed New York's last five games with a separated shoulder, had the procedure performed earlier in the day in Manhattan.
In 48 games this season, his first with the Rangers, the 32-year-old Ukrainian has posted nine goals and 19 points.
