Rangers' Dubinsky has stress fracture

NEW YORK -- Rangers forward and leading scorer Brandon Dubinsky has a stress fracture in his left fibula and is expected to be out three to four weeks, the team said Wednesday.

Dubinsky's injury was discovered during an MRI and bone scan earlier in the day.

It's a significant loss for the Rangers, who are fighting to keep pace with Philadelphia and Pittsburgh in the Atlantic Division.

Third-place New York had 55 points entering Wednesday night's game against Toronto -- 10 behind the Flyers and seven back of the Penguins.

Dubinsky, 24, leads the Rangers in goals (17), assists (21) and is third in penalty minutes (60).

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
