New York - The New York Rangers on Monday acquired forward Wojtek Wolski from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for veteran defenseman Michal Rozsival.

Wolski, 24, had six goals and 10 assists in 36 games this season for the Coyotes, who obtained the Poland native in a trade with Colorado last March.

Originally drafted 21st overall by the Avalanche in the 2004 draft, Wolski has 85 goals and 142 assists in 356 career games.

New York pulled the trigger on the trade one day after announcing that forward Alexander Frolov will undergo season-ending knee surgery.

The 32-year-old Rozsival posted three goals and 15 points in 32 games with the Rangers. He has 60 goals and 181 assists in 669 career games.

The Vancouver Canucks should replace ex-coach Alain Vigneault with...
  Guy Boucher.
  Lindy Ruff.
  Andy Murray.
  Jacques Martin.
  Brent Sutter.
  Don Hay.
  Other.
