Uniondale, NY - The New York Islanders announced Monday that defenseman Mark Eaton will miss the remainder of the season with a hip injury that requires surgery.
Eaton collected three assists in 34 games this season, his first on Long Island.
The 33-year-old has registered 23 goals and 58 assists in 565 career games with Philadelphia, Nashville, Pittsburgh and the Islanders.
