Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price did not mince words with a hockey fan on Twitter late Thursday night following his team's 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Islanders.
The fan, Brett Capjak, was certainly not pleased with Price's performance for his fantasy hockey team during second period action in Montreal.
"Hey u bum. u face 10 shots and give up 2 goals. stevie f---ing wonder could do a better job," Capjak tweeted.
Hockey players usually ignore such criticisms, but the Habs goalie decided to respond hours later with his own tongue-in-cheek retort.
"I'm still your moms favourite player," Price replied back.
On the night, Price gave up four goals on 25 shots. On the season, he is 9-3-1 with 2.12 goals-against average and .919 save percentage.
