OTTAWA - Nobody is sure if P.K. Subban was welcomed back with open arms, but the flashy defenceman has joined his Montreal Canadiens teammates for the first time since settling his contract dispute.

Signed to a two-year, $5.75-million contract as a restricted free agent Monday, Subban was on the ice for the optional skate at Scotiabank Place, but wasn’t in the lineup against the Ottawa Senators Wednesday night.

He isn’t sure when he’ll suit up, but it would make sense if he played in one of Montreal’s back-to-back matinee home games at Saturday or Sunday against the Buffalo Sabres and Senators, respectively.
