Habs want to talk to Wild
By QMI Agency

The Minnesota Wild have given the Montreal Canadiens permission to talk to Blair Mackasey, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The Habs would like to talk to Mackasey, the Wild's director of player personnel, about their vacant general manager position. Montreal fired Pierre Gauthier earlier this month.

Mackasey has worked for the Wild for six seasons after originally joining them as director of pro scouting. He's also worked for Hockey Canada and the Phoenix Coyotes.

And, even better for the Habs, he's bilingual.
