The Montreal Canadiens signed junior forward Patrick Holland to a three-year, entry-level contract Wednesday.

Holland was acquired from the Calgary Flames along with Rene Bourque in the deal that sent Mike Cammalleri and Karri Ramo west. He was a seventh-round draft pick of the Flames in 2010.

In 66 games with the Tri-City Americans of the WHL, Holland has 24 goals and 77 assists. He leads the WHL in assists and is sixth in points.

The Canadiens also called up forwards Andreas Engqvist and Louis Leblanc from Hamilton of the AHL.
