MONTREAL -- Montreal Canadiens defenseman Josh Gorges will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury that will require surgery, the club announced on Thursday.
Though the press release from the Habs failed to note which knee was injured, the Gazette reported it is his right one.
The 26-year-old, who had played in 150 straight contests for the Habs, had his streak end when he sat out Montreal's 3-0 loss to Washington on December 28, then missed the next three games with the injury.
Gorges tallied one goal and six assists in 36 games this season. He also recorded 79 blocked shots.
