Habs looking forward to home sweet home

The Montreal Canadiens have yet to see the inside of the Bell Centre this season.

The club started the year on a five-game road trip, which concluded against the Oilers last night at Rexall Place.

"I believe that the first part of our trip was very productive," said head coach Jacques Martin. "You have to play those games regardless -- and you have to make the most of them."

The Canadiens opened the season with wins over the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalos Sabres.

They came west and lost to the Calgary Flames, then were hammered 7-1 by the Vancouver Canucks.

"We haven't talked about it all that much. It was one of those things that we weren't happy with our effort level and things like that," said forward Mike Cammalleri.

"The message was sent, and we're moving on."

The Canadiens return to Montreal for their home opener against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday.

"You have a tough road trip to start the year and you're able to gain points, that's the way we're looking at it," Cammalleri said.
