Habs nix stadium game

Montreal Canadiens fans excited at the prospect of watching their team play at Olympic Stadium this winter had their hopes dashed Monday.

Donald Beauchamp, vice president of communications for the Canadiens, told RDS "the logistics make it impossible to move forward with a project of this magnitude."

The game in question would have involved superstar Alex Ovechkin and his Washington Capitals on Nov. 28.

The main stumbling block appears to be the possibility that the Montreal Alouettes would be hosting the Canadian Football League Eastern Final on Nov. 22, leaving the Canadiens with less than a week to prepare the facility for an NHL game.

Do you think Coyotes players should be punished for their actions after the team’s Game 5 loss to the Kings?
