Heatley a go for Senators

Dany Heatley will continue his quest for his second straight 50-goal season tonight.

Senators coach Bryan Murray confirmed at the team's game-day skate that Heatley will play against the Montreal Canadiens tonight (7:30 p.m., Scotiabank Place) despite a twisted ankle. Heatley had missed practice the last two days because of a sore ankle he sustained in a game against Boston on Tuesday at Scotiabank Place.

The ice was bad because of a concert the night before featuring Christina Aguilera and The Pussycat Dolls.

Murray said he won't be spotting his star winger, either, against the Canadiens.

"We won't treat him any differently if he's ready to play," he said.

Heatley has 46 goals with five games remaining in the regular season. He's trying to become the first player to have back-to-back 50-goal seasons since Pavel Bure did it with Florida in 1999-2000 and 2000-2001.

Tonight's game, which is crucial to the Canadiens as they battle four other teams for the final two playoff spots, is on Sportsnet and RDS.

The Senators continue their home stand with a game Saturday night against the New York Islanders.
