ST. PAUL, MN - The Minnesota Wild inked defenseman Matt Dumba to a three-year, entry-level contract on Thursday.

Dumba, who will turn 18 next week, was the club's first-round selection (seventh overall) in June's entry draft.

The rearguard totaled 20 goals and 57 points in 69 games for the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League in Canadian juniors.
