Dustin Penner expands his resume with Conan gig

What’s a bored, locked-out NHL player to do?
After you’ve worked out or gone for a skate with the boys, it’s still only noon, and you’ve got the whole day ahead of you.
“It’s tough to fill the empty time slot in my life,” Stanley Cup winner Dustin Penner of the Los Angeles Kings was saying over the phone from southern California, Friday.
So Penner went out looking for a job. Sort of.
“I called my agent, who used to work in Hollywood, and asked if he could find me something to do,” Penner said. “I don’t want to get paid. I’m not looking for a real job. Just something fun, a life experience thing that I can look back at.”
Now, if you’ve followed Penner’s career at all, you knew this wasn’t going to be just any part-time endeavor.
