Kings place Gagne on IR
By SPORTS NETWORK

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - The Los Angeles Kings have placed forward Simon Gagne on injured reserve.

While the team stated that Gagne suffered an upper-body injury, it is believed to be a concussion.

Gagne, who has a history of concussions, suffered the injury during Monday night's game against the Phoenix Coyotes, a 4-3 Kings win.

In his first season with Los Angeles, the 31-year-old Gagne has seven goals and 17 points.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
