Sutter set to start coaching Kings
By QMI Agency

Former Calgary Flames GM, Darryl Sutter. (QMI Agency files)

Darryl Sutter will return to the NHL coaching ranks Tuesday, sources say.

As reported by QMI Agency early this week, the former Calgary Flames bench boss has been hired by the Los Angeles Kings to take over head coaching duties.

The 53-year-old Alberta native has a deal in place with the Kings, say multiple sources.

The Flames fired Sutter nearly a year ago from GM position. Previous to that, he coached the Flames to a run of success, including to the 2004 Stanley Cup final.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
