Kings' Mitchell out with fractured wrist

Los Angeles - The Los Angeles Kings have announced that defenseman Willie Mitchell will miss approximately 4-to-6 weeks with a fractured wrist.

Mitchell suffered the injury during Los Angeles' 4-1 victory over Nashville on Saturday. Through 13 games this season, he has totaled one goal and four assists.

The Kings signed the 33-year-old to a two-year, $7 million contract in the offseason.

Originally selected in the eighth round of the 1996 draft by New Jersey, Mitchell has totaled 20 goals, 104 assists and 626 penalty minutes in 599 games for the Devils, Wild, Stars, Canucks and Kings.
