Tampa Bay Lightning jolt Winnipeg Jets 8-3

TAMPA - Awful. Terrible. Pathetic.

Take your pick, folks. They all apply to how the Winnipeg Jets played on Friday night in an 8-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Sure, they didn’t have Dustin Byfuglien and Zach Bogosian remains out until at least mid-February, but those were no excuses for the disastrous outing at Tampa Bay Times Forum.

It was broccoli-flavoured icing on the worm-infested cake that was a putrid three-game road trip that was full of nothing but losses. Friday night’s capper looked like the 2011-12 version of the Jets, which was 1-11-1 in the second half of back-to-backs.

The Vancouver Canucks should replace ex-coach Alain Vigneault with...
  Guy Boucher.
  Lindy Ruff.
  Andy Murray.
  Jacques Martin.
  Brent Sutter.
  Don Hay.
  Other.
