'General' Andrei Markov helps Canadiens power past Jets

MONTREAL - Andrei Markov might have lost a step to two serious knee injuries, but there's nothing wrong with the veteran defenceman's hands.

Without Markov in the lineup for most of the last two seasons, the Canadiens once fearsome power play slipped to 23rd in the league last season and -- more shockingly -- to 27th in the league on home ice.

That was one of the big reasons the Canadiens had the fewest wins on home ice -- 16 -- last season.
