TAMPA - Checkmate Bishop.

The Senators made a daring move that backfired Friday night by giving backup Ben Bishop his first start, but it turned out size didn't matter as Ottawa saw its three-game winning streak come to a halt with a 6-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Times Forum.

While it was billed as battle between two giants in net — Bishop (6-foot-7) and Anders Lindback (6-foot-6) — it was the scorers who did the damage as Ryan Malone scored twice in the third period to hand the Senators their first loss of the season.
