Nothing like a trip to Toronto to get the Pittsburgh Penguins back on track. The Stanley Cup champs entered last night's game having lost six of their previous seven games.
But some sharp puck stopping by one of Canada's Olympic goaltenders, Marc-Andre Fleury, a pair of goals by defenceman Sergei Gonchar and a showstopper from Sidney Crosby did the trick.
"Even if you don't win the Stanley Cup, 82 games is a lot and it's difficult to get up for every one of them," said Fleury, who made 22 saves in the third period and 42 on the night. "We've had our share of trouble but I think the last few games we've turned the corner."
PRETTY GOAL
Crosby's goal, which put the Pens up by three early in the third, included a masterful deke, which had Leafs defenceman Tomas Kaberle waving at the air with his stick, and a one-handed shovel to elude Jonas Gustavsson's attempt at a poke check.
"It was a bit of a broken play," Crosby said.
