SUNRISE, Fla. -- When the Leafs fell into a 2-0 hole early in the first period last night, it was the 12th time in 24 games they've been stuck in that situation.
"We're a little bit like Seabiscuit," Leafs defenceman Garnet Exelby said in a between periods interview with AM640. "We need some competition to chase."
Luke Schenn was excited for his younger Brayden who made his NHL debut with the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.
The No. 5 pick overall signed a one-day amateur tryout deal.
"I talked to him before the game, he was pumped," Schenn said. "He got a fair bit of ice time. It was good for him."
