WHY FLAMES LOST

Because they couldn't take advantage of a trio of second-period powerplay chances to break open a tie game.

GOAL OF THE GAME

Gotta give it to the winner. Jason Pominville snapped a shot through Miikka Kiprusoff when the shootout went to the fourth player.

Calgary's four-game winning streak comes to an end, but the Flames remain a solid 5-1-2 on the road.
