VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks signed defenseman Jim Vandermeer on Monday.

Vandermeer had one goal and three assists in 25 games between Edmonton and San Jose in 2011-12.

The 32-year-old has played in 461 career games with the Flyers, Blackhawks, Flames, Coyotes, Oilers and Sharks, recording 25 goals and 80 assists to go along with 664 penalty minutes. Vandermeer also has two assists in 21 playoff games.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
