The National Hockey League's free agency period continues with a second day of signings. Here's a complete list of the moves.

Free-agent signings: Day 1

SIGNINGS

AVALANCHE: The Avalanche have secured the services of blueliner Kyle Quincey by giving him a two-year contract.

PENGUINS: Pittsburgh made a minor move by acquiring forward Craig Ryan for one year at $500,000.

PREDATORS: Nashville picked up one of the last few quality free agent forwards left. They signed Matthew Lombardi to a three-year contract that will pay him $3.5-million per season.

OILERS: After trading him to the Panthers last season, the big, bad Steve MacIntyre has rejoined the Oilers.

ISLANDERS: Unrestricted free agent P.A. Parenteau took a stroll going from the Rangers to the Islanders in a one-year contract that pays him $600,000.

ISLANDERS: Milan Jurcina has hopped on over to New York with a one-year deal worth $1-million.

BLACKHAWKS: Signed free agent defenceman John Scott to a two-year contract. Scott was with the Wild the last two seasons.

ISLANDERS: Former Penguins defenceman Mark Eaton is joining the New York Islanders for the next two years. He spent the last four years in Pittsburgh, winning the Stanley Cup in 2009.

PANTHERS: Chris Higgins is the newest member of the Florida Panthers, signing a one-year deal reportedly worth $1.6 million. The winger bounced around the league over the last year, traded by the Habs to the Rangers in the Scott Gomez deal, and later shipped to the Flames in the Olli Jokinen swap.

LIGHTNING: The Bolts are bringing back defenceman Pavel Kubina to Tampa. The free agent defenceman is signing a contract that will reportedly pay him $7.7 million over two years. Kubina won the Stanley Cup with the Lightning in 2004.

CAPITALS: Signed free agent goaltender Dany Sabourin to a one-year contract.

FLAMES: Signed forwards Tim Jackman and Raitis Ivanans to two-year contracts.

RE-SIGNINGS

BLUES: Forward Brad Winchester can keep singing the Blues at least one year longer after re-signing with St. Louis for $700,000.

SABRES: Forward Cody McCormick has signed a one-year deal to stay with Buffalo for $500,000.

RANGERS: Vaclav Prospal has a home for at least another year. New York re-signed the veteran forward to a one-year contract worth $2.1-million.

COYOTES: Defenceman Sami Lepisto is staying in the desert after signing a one-year contract with the Coyotes.

OILERS: The team is bringing back depth defenceman Jason Strudwick on a one-year contract, along with free agent defenceman Richard Petiot, who played last season for the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.
