And then there were two.

With the signing of centre Chris Kelly to a one-year deal yesterday, the Senators now have all but wingers Chris Neil and Peter Schaefer, who are both going to arbitration, under contract for next season.

Neil's hearing is set for today while Schaefer's is scheduled for Friday.

Kelly, 25, established himself as the club's best defensive forward and a strong penalty killer in his first full season in the NHL last year.

BINGO CAPTAIN

He spent his first three years as a pro playing for the Senators' AHL farm team in Binghamton, which he captained in 2004-05.

He scored 10 goals and had 20 assists last year while playing all 82 games and showed a willingness to come his teammates' defence when needed.
