Although having yet to sign an entry-level contract, Leon Draisaitl has already made a commitment to the Edmonton Oilers.

The Oilers first-round pick – third overall – in last month’s NHL Entry Draft, decided to spend the entire summer in Edmonton preparing for the upcoming season rather than returning home to Cologne, Germany.

Draisaitl, 18, is currently working out with the Oilers' strength and conditioning team, while being billeted by Bruce Saville.
