EDMONTON - Every other year, it’s been easy. In a twisted way, even been kinda fun.

Instead of ‘Go, Oilers, Go’ it becomes ‘No, Oilers,No.’

Fall for Hall.

Luge for Nuge.

Fail for Nail.

But this year Edmonton Oilers fans just haven’t been able to much get into the mood of it with ‘Bad For Ekblad.’

And there’s only nine games to go. Time is running out.

In the other years, there wasn’t the optimism of this maybe being the year to begin the trip to the top of the tables.

Patience was still being practised.

It was easy to go to the game, cheer for the Oilers to play well, then head home and be half-assed happy they lost and then real happy when a cellar-dweller mate in misery scored a rare win to stay ahead of them in the standings.

Might, at this late date, it finally be getting to that point again? Just a little bit?
