EDMONTON - Viktor Fasth had to be helped off the ice Monday after a collision in practice.

The Edmonton Oilers goaltender was inadvertently run over by winger Anton Lander in a drill and need attention from the team’s athletic therapists.

Fasth appeared to have hit his head on the goalpost and was groggy as he was led to the Oilers dressing room.

“I didn’t see it, he got driven into the net off a rush and banged his head,” said Oilers head coach Dallas Eakins. “He wasn’t concussed or anything. He’s going to go see the doctor and if we need to call somebody up, then we will.”

Fasth wasn’t scheduled to get the start against the San Jose Sharks Tuesday after giving up five goals on 16 shots in the 8-1 loss to the Calgary Flames on Saturday.
