ST. PAUL, MINN. - Ten years after drafting Devan Dubnyk 14th overall, the Edmonton Oilers have decided he’s not their guy.

They’re closing the book on Dubnyk for good, trading him to the Nashville Predators for Matt Hendricks, right before announcing they gave up a draft pick for L.A. Kings goalie Ben Scrivens.

Scrivens carries a .931 save percentage and 1.97 GAA in LA.

Dubnyk spent five full seasons with the Oilers, going 61-76-21 over 171 appearances, posting a .910 save percentage and 2.88 GAA.

He was never a favourite of management, though, and his slow start this season led to the arrival if Ilya Bryzgalov and ultimately the end of his career in Edmonton.
