COLUMBUS - The Edmonton Oilers figured they were going to get a better effort from the Columbus Blue Jackets this time around.

It might have helped had they put in an effort themselves before the game got out of reach.

Ten days after handing it to the Blue Jackets at Rexall Place, the Oilers took it on the chin themselves, falling 4-2 in Columbus.

The Blue Jackets scored three goals in the second period to take control of the contest and gain a measure of revenge for the 7-0 beating they took to the Oilers on Nov. 19.
