EDMONTON - You know it's been a rough year when then highlight of the season is a Tuesday nighter against Columbus.

But long-suffering Edmonton Oilers fans, who've been begging for something to get excited about, didn't give a damn about the who and when of shocking, and shockingly good, 7-0 victory.

All that mattered was the where. As in where in the heck did that come from?

An Oilers team that couldn't score at home erupted for seven. The guys who can't win at home had this one in the bag after 20 minutes. The team with the lukewarm netminding pitched a shutout.

It was like opening night arrived 22 games late. This is what the Oilers were supposed to look like all year.
