MONTREAL - In a late move Monday night the Oilers sent winger Mike Brown to the San Jose Sharks for a fourth round draft pick.

Brown and the fourth line have been used sparingly this season, with the 28-year-old averaging a team low 5:49 per game. He played 4:47 and 4:49 in Edmonton’s last two starts.

The Oilers called Ben Eager up to fill his spot on the roster.

With the trade, Brown moves up 26 spots in the NHL standings, from 27th to first.
